András Paszternák was born in 1940. Though trained as a mechanical technician, his interest in woodworking began in childhood.
In 1997, he joined the Folk Art Association of Hegyalja Masters, and since then, he has regularly exhibited and submitted his works for evaluation.
He was awarded the title of Folk Applied Artist in 2002.
