Performed by RS9 Theatre
The hero of our comedy knows absolutely nothing about art. Still, former bouncer Dave is hired by a contemporary art gallery to guard a controversial artwork. The painting is 3 meters tall and 1.6 meters wide, and… well, let’s just say it was made using a rather unusual technique. Some people don’t like it, and it’s open to many interpretations. But Dave’s opinion of art – and of this particular piece – gradually changes, and he begins defending the work with increasing passion against his wife, the media, and a horde of outraged religious fanatics.
The world-famous short story by Nick Hornby has been adapted into a site-specific museum-theatre performance by director Géza Bodor.
