Animated Film | 1981 | Dir. Attila Dargay | 73 min
The touching story of Vuk, the orphaned little fox, remains the most beloved full-length Hungarian animated film to this day. It first captured audiences as a TV series, then the cinema version drew over two million viewers. Director Attila Dargay remained faithful to the Walt Disney traditions he greatly admired: István Fekete’s heartfelt tale, brought to life with Dargay’s cheerful characters, speaks directly to the hearts of children. Vuk’s young voice was performed by Judit Pogány, while the adult Vuk was voiced by József Gyabronka. László Csákányi also delivered a memorable performance as the voice of Karak.
